Shortmith is a private tool used by its operator to produce short videos and publish them to social media accounts that the operator owns. It is not offered to the public, has no user registration, and has no end users other than the operator.

What we access

When the operator connects an account, the relevant platform issues us an authorisation token. We store:

We do not request, receive or store account passwords. We do not read private messages, contacts, follower lists, or viewer data.

What we do with it

The tokens are used for one purpose: uploading videos the operator has produced to the operator's own accounts. Nothing is uploaded anywhere else, and no content is published to accounts we were not explicitly authorised for.

What we do not do

Where it is kept

Data is held on a single private server operated on our behalf, reachable only over an encrypted connection. Tokens are stored so they can be used for uploads and are not displayed anywhere in the interface.

How long we keep it

Tokens are kept until the connection is removed, at which point they are deleted. Records of published videos are kept while the corresponding video exists. Disconnecting an account in the platform's own settings revokes our access immediately, whether or not it is also removed here.

Revoking access

Access can be withdrawn at any time and takes effect at once:

Platform terms

Our use of the YouTube Data API is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Our use of the TikTok Content Posting API is subject to TikTok's developer terms.
